Sarah Jean Melito Blog

Meet Sarah

Whatup friends?! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m excited to have you along here. I’m Sarah, a 29 year old momma with a great sense of humor and a creative mind. I live in a small town in Mass with my firefighter husband Anthony, our 3 kiddos, and our two pups. I originally created this blog to share my passion for all things home and DIY. It later transitioned into a place to talk about my love for natural living, outdoor kid’s activities, gardening, cooking, and a peek into my homemaking journey.

My passion these days are getting back to my roots. I want to do most things the way our ancestors did it. There’s just something special about growing your own food, baking your own bread from yeast you created, brewing tea from fermented cultures, and knowing the farm where your meat came from. When I have free time (which isn’t often these days haha),  I love to go yardsailing and thrift shopping, do DIY projects, and travel with my family. We’re always checking out new places and enjoy going camping! Aside from the many hats I wear, my favorite is being a mom. Ant and I struggled with infertility for years, conceived Layla via IVF and then my 2nd was a total surprise blessing. Becoming a mom has been a true gift from God, and while it’s not easy by any means, it is so rewarding. One thing I strive to portray is REAL and HONEST motherhood. Because whoever is making it look easy, is lying! Lol, but really.

Thanks for following along as I share homemaking tips, our wannabe homesteaders journey, recipes, nature activities, and more. Head over to my instagram or Facebook to see my latest posts! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you ever have any questions or want to talk. Thanks for stopping by!

one month ago I had the homebirth of my dreams ✨ one month ago I had the homebirth of my dreams ✨ after c-sections with layla & gabby, I fought hard for the birth that I wanted and deserved. 48 hours of back labor which was the worst pain I’ve ever had in my entire life, but it was worth every second to have the experience of giving birth peacefully in my bedroom. Anthony, my midwives, my sis and my doula were absolutely amazing. Dalton John was 9.10 pounds and two weeks overdue, he sure made me work for his arrival! It’s been a beautiful month with him by our side 💙 more pics to come!
