Sprinkling Fall Vibes Around The House

Our Home

18 Sep

What’s up friend?! I am so pumped to be partnering up again with The Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, which is a brand I really love and enjoy working with. Every time I am at their store, I am overcome with nostalgia from when I was a kid and my grandmother and mother always brought us shopping there. When I brought my kids this last time, it was nothing but chaos though, lol. Gabby was screaming and Layla wanted to put every single thing in our cart. Shopping with kids is quite the excursion! We made the best of it and Layla even helped me pick out some of the decorations. Each season they have great finds and it’s always affordable too! I can see why their new tag line is, “Every Season. Every Reason.”

The Christmas Tree Shops had a few different themes this year to choose from. My first thought was that I would go with my usual blues, greens, and orange. Then, we saw the purple pumpkins and knew we wanted to mix them into our decor this year! It’s something fun and different to mix it up every year. I’ve become more of a simple decorator since I became a mom. Less is more to me now. Kids literally get into everything, so I like to keep the decorations minimal but still leave the space cozy and inviting. Instead of just decorating one or two areas, we sprinkle Fall throughout our house. We also add just a few pumpkins in the bedroom, because well, why not?!

My favorite space in our new (we’ve been here a year!) house is our fireplace mantle. And while I wish there wasn’t a huge TV above it, I do what I can by decorating around it. My biggest advice with decorating a mantle is to add some lights to give warmth, then add items with different textures and greenery of course! The Christmas Tree Shops andThat! pumpkins, basket, and sign are such a great addition to this space, giving it that simple yet cozy feeling I love.

I styled up this bakers rack (that I found on the side of the road!!) with pumpkins, plants, and the blessed sign from Christmas Tree Shops andThat! I love this galvanized tray that I added greenery, pinecones, and pumpkins to fill it up. I think the variety really pulls it together. Mixing up different textures is a good way to get that coziness.

Another way I added some Fall to our home is with this kitchen towel and drying mat. It’s subtle, yet a little pop of orange and blue to set the tone in here. I also put a pumpkin on the window sill just for something extra and decorated this wooden tray that I also got from the Christmas Tree Shops andThat! as well. To me, the kitchen is a hard spot to decorate for the seasons, because we try to keep our counters as clutter free as possible. Keyword TRY! But just adding a few items and some twinkle lights make it so cute.

I know that when I go to The Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, I can really find everything I need for the season. They had adorable Fall plates and dinnerware that I didn’t end up grabbing, but I wish I did! The Fall welcome mats also had a good selection. We got one that says, “pumpkin spice everything.” There were many styles and themes of items to choose from, but I enjoyed pulling a little bit in from each one and making it my own. I love how you can do that with their items!

This post is sponsored by The Christmas Tree Shops andThat! As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own! Thanks for supporting brands that I love and that make this little blog of mine possible.

Talk soon! 🙂

our time together as a family is a gift. and i wil our time together as a family is a gift. and i will never forget 6 years ago pleading to god to make us parents. he delivered 🙏🏼 and gave us four of the most beautiful children i could have ever imagined. 📸 @sadiecooperphotography
August 1st at 9:56am our Jaxson Jeremy was born at August 1st at 9:56am our Jaxson Jeremy was born at home, weighing in at 11 pounds!! 😍😅 ELEVENNNN pounds. Lol. We are all doing so well now, resting and settling into being a family of 6. 🫶🏻 I’m not quite ready to share our birth story just yet as we had some complications, but when the time is right I’ll record a YouTube video and share all the details. Until then, we’re soaking up all the newborn snuggles with our littlest love. Forever blessed for my growing family and the ability to birth these beautiful humans.
Yet again another child to be born after my “due Yet again another child to be born after my “due date” 🤪 Trusting in God’s timing is not always easy, but I’m trying. 💙 Dalton was my longest pregnancy at 43 weeks; this little guy better not make us wait another 2 weeks though! 😅 Layla was 40+5 (induced) and Gabby was 39 weeks (csection)

Ready for another beautiful home birth, whenever Jaxson is ready. 🫶🏻 At what gestation were your babes born?!
38 weeks with my little Jaxson Jeremy 💙 it’s 38 weeks with my little Jaxson Jeremy 💙 it’s crazy as I have more kiddos how fast the pregnancies go. I feel like I blinked and we’re almost here. Now to getting my ducks in a row! I’ve been nesting like crazy, deep cleaning my house, tending to the garden and just have to get my freezer meals prepped and I’ll be ready *i think* 😅 It’s funny because Dalton didn’t come until I was 43 weeks which is literally 5 more weeks from now…. I just might melt from the summer’s heat if I have to wait another 5 weeks 🤣 But for real, babies come when they are ready. No crazy natural inductions happening over here. Just patience. However, we’re ready whenever you are, my little man 🫶🏻
Garlic has quickly become one of my favorite thing Garlic has quickly become one of my favorite things to grow! Set it and forget it! I planted my garlic in October & it will be ready to harvest in July. Using the scapes in recipes is a great way to add garlic flavor and utilize the garlic before it’s ready to harvest. I planted both hard neck and soft neck, so I will save the hard neck varieties over the Fall/Winter and use the soft neck fresh. Have you ever planted garlic before?!
