Baby’s First Christmas Toys

Baby

11 Dec

This post is sponsored by buybuy BABY. Thanks for supporting brands that I really love and that make this little blog of mine possible!

I can’t even believe it’s already almost Christmas. It feels like I was just pregnant and waiting for Layla to be born. Now, here we are about to celebrate her first Christmas. It honestly seems like a dream. This year, we have the best gift of all, our little baby girl. And she deserves the best Christmas ever! I teamed up with buybuy BABY to get some toys for Lay now that she’s sitting up and actually playing with her toys.

We had a few toys for her already, but I was excited to go and check out buybuy BABY’s selection and grab our baby girl some cool toys to play with! I like visiting in-store when we are toy shopping so we can actually see the toys. We did a combination of in-store and online shopping because I enjoy reading reviews before buying things. We opened most of them so that we could get some pictures for this blog post, but I can’t wait for her to open the rest on Christmas morning! We love toys that keep her drawn in with bright lights and music, but also ones that are educational too. I will link all the toys at the end of this blog post for you guys.

She loves the BeatBelle and so do we! It really is so cute and keeps her entertained for awhile. The toy dances and sings over 100 songs about colors, counting, and the alphabet. There is a microphone feature where you can record and it sings back to you. This is probably one of Layla’s favorite toys!

The Laugh and Learn Puppy teaches parts of the body and introduces a ton of words to baby. Layla loves picking this up and chewing on it too, haha. Unicorn Rock + Glow is a fun toy she likes to stare at with the pretty lights and music. It also moves up and down and she thinks it’s quite funny!

Layla has loved using her Explore and More table for the past month or so. She loves her jumperoo, but this table is great because she can just stand her turn herself around to all the different activities. It grows with baby too and they can use it with chairs to color and play.

I am excited to see what other toys Layla gets for Christmas and how she will play with them more and more as she grows. As a minimalist, I didn’t want many toys, but we soon realized that we were cycling out the same toys over and over and we needed to add a few more to the collection. Make sure to check out buybuy BABY if you’re on the search for toys this season!

our time together as a family is a gift. and i wil our time together as a family is a gift. and i will never forget 6 years ago pleading to god to make us parents. he delivered 🙏🏼 and gave us four of the most beautiful children i could have ever imagined. 📸 @sadiecooperphotography
August 1st at 9:56am our Jaxson Jeremy was born at August 1st at 9:56am our Jaxson Jeremy was born at home, weighing in at 11 pounds!! 😍😅 ELEVENNNN pounds. Lol. We are all doing so well now, resting and settling into being a family of 6. 🫶🏻 I’m not quite ready to share our birth story just yet as we had some complications, but when the time is right I’ll record a YouTube video and share all the details. Until then, we’re soaking up all the newborn snuggles with our littlest love. Forever blessed for my growing family and the ability to birth these beautiful humans.
Yet again another child to be born after my “due Yet again another child to be born after my “due date” 🤪 Trusting in God’s timing is not always easy, but I’m trying. 💙 Dalton was my longest pregnancy at 43 weeks; this little guy better not make us wait another 2 weeks though! 😅 Layla was 40+5 (induced) and Gabby was 39 weeks (csection)

Ready for another beautiful home birth, whenever Jaxson is ready. 🫶🏻 At what gestation were your babes born?!
38 weeks with my little Jaxson Jeremy 💙 it’s 38 weeks with my little Jaxson Jeremy 💙 it’s crazy as I have more kiddos how fast the pregnancies go. I feel like I blinked and we’re almost here. Now to getting my ducks in a row! I’ve been nesting like crazy, deep cleaning my house, tending to the garden and just have to get my freezer meals prepped and I’ll be ready *i think* 😅 It’s funny because Dalton didn’t come until I was 43 weeks which is literally 5 more weeks from now…. I just might melt from the summer’s heat if I have to wait another 5 weeks 🤣 But for real, babies come when they are ready. No crazy natural inductions happening over here. Just patience. However, we’re ready whenever you are, my little man 🫶🏻
Garlic has quickly become one of my favorite thing Garlic has quickly become one of my favorite things to grow! Set it and forget it! I planted my garlic in October & it will be ready to harvest in July. Using the scapes in recipes is a great way to add garlic flavor and utilize the garlic before it’s ready to harvest. I planted both hard neck and soft neck, so I will save the hard neck varieties over the Fall/Winter and use the soft neck fresh. Have you ever planted garlic before?!
