Hello lovely people! It’s been awhile. Easter snuck up on me. I took a longer than anticipated break from social media/blogging and it was really nice. We spent our winter days playing in the snow, reading books by the fire, baking sourdough bread, and trying new soup recipes. It was slow and really recharged my soul for Spring! We went to Florida two weeks ago to visit my dad, and then when we came home I wasn’t prepared for the warmer spring weather and of course Easter. It’s earlier in April this year, I think that’s what threw me through a loop. I was thrilled to partner up with one of my favorite stores of all times, The Christmas Tree Shops, and make my girls Easter baskets and decorate some fun eggs! They had everything I needed to put together adorable baskets that I know Gabriella and Layla will love.

I am pretty particular about what I get the girls for their holiday baskets. While I love celebrating every holiday and it’s even more fun now that I have kids, I don’t like to just fill them with random stuff that will end up in the donation bin or collecting dust. I opt for activity-based baskets and I think these ones I came up with are really fun! The Christmas Tree Shops made it really easy for me to grab what I was looking for because there were tons of options. They had a bunch of cute baskets to choose from, different colored eggs and basket fillings, and an awesome selection of activities and toys.
Layla is almost 3, and really into outdoor activities. In her basket is a kite, explorer kit, coloring book, reading book, bubble wand, stickers, a knitted purse from a friend, and some chocolate filled eggs. Gabby is 15 months and obviously harder to entertain as she’s just barely getting out of the ‘put everything in mouth phase’. In her basket is an automatic bubble machine, stickers, a color-your-own sun catcher, an easter book, and also some chocolate eggs!

I love traditions, so this year we are starting our own egg hunt with friends, as well as painting our own eggs! I remember doing this as a kid with my mom and having so much fun doing different colors and designs on the eggs. I grabbed some cute kits at the Christmas Tree Shops for Layla and I to play around with. We opted for the fun unicorn sticker set, which she had a great time with. Her hands got stained from the egg dye and she thought it was so funny. I love toddlers and their ability to think the smallest things are really cool.

I hope you all have a great Easter with your family and friends! Hopefully it’s looking different than last years and you’re able to spend it with your loved ones. If you’re looking for Easter decor, activities, or to make your baskets, you should definitely stop by the Christmas Tree Shops and check out all they have, for every reason, every season!

So many good ideas! Thanks for in the inspiration!
Great ideas Sarah!! I’m sure the girls will love them!
