27 Weeks Bump Update

Pregnancy

6 Mar

Okay, I know. I have been really horrible at these bump updates after I said I would do them weekly. We’ve just had so much going on! I’ve been keeping y’all updated on Instagram stories and with my posts on there. We’ve almost completed the nursery, I’ve been shopping at thrift stores for baby clothes, and we’ve just been trying to declutter and organize the house best we can before Layla comes. Let’s dive into this thing shall we?

Maternity Gown from Pink Blush

What fruit are you? A bunch of bananas! Layla is about 15 inches and weighs over two pounds.

Due Date: May 30, 2018. 85 days from today. Wow! Where does the time go?

Total Weight Gain: I think I’m at about 13 pounds of weight gained so far. I would say that’s pretty good!

Stretch Marks? Yep! More and more as the days go by. I am calling them my “mama scars!” I’ve been using different oils and belly butter, but I’ve heard stretch marks are hereditary. My mom had them with my sister and I, so I figured I would get them anyway.

Maternity Clothes: I am rocking leggings for the most part. I have a pair of stretchy jeans that I’ll wear to go out sometimes. I haven’t had to buy many clothes though. I’m thinking over the next two months is when my clothes will really start to not fit!

Sleep: What’s that? Haha no I am getting a pretty good night’s sleep. Getting up about 3-4 times to go pee. It takes me awhile to get comfortable and fall asleep.

Cravings: Not anything specific really. It’s just when something comes to mind that I want, I want it and I want it NOW! Yesterday it was rainbow sherbet ice cream. Today, I couldn’t wait to have boneless buffalo wings for lunch.

Best moment this week: Yesterday my little sister came over and saw Layla moving around for the first time. It was such a special moment since she is her God Mother. We’ve been seeing her move around a lot more.

Symptoms: Still throwing up every couple of days. It’s down to maybe twice a week thank God. I also have heartburn REALLY bad. I have to take medicine every day now for it.

Movement: Like I said above, we’ve been seeing her move around a lot which is really cool. I swear sometimes I have a little karate kid in there, she will move around so much and it feels like she’s dancing or something.

Maternity Maxi Dress from Pink Blush

Nursery Update: It’s almost done!!! We just have a gallery wall to put up and then it’ll be complete. I’ll share a sneak peek of it below for you guys. I absolutely love how everything is coming along. It’s amazing to just sit in there and wonder what our times will be like once she’s actually here.

Pregnancy item I’m loving this week: These amazing leggings that are only $13! They are super comfortable and great for everyone, even if you’re not pregnant. I bought two pairs. Also, this pregnancy journal has been amazing to write in every month. I write down how I’m feeling, what we’re looking forward to, and it has some cute note sections to write it. My husband also does a little section every month as well. It’s been nice to document the pregnancy in this little book.

2. Let dough ferment for at least 30 min.
3. Divide into 8ish sections, dust counter with lots of flour, then roll as thin as possible.
